Why it costs what it costs.
Why it costs what it costs here. A bit of transparency and stuff.
There are many cost drivers in a company. Traditionally, the cost drivers find their place in a surcharge calculation, which then ultimately leads to a price for you, which you ultimately find under the product. No arbitrariness, no rolling of dice, but fair calculation.
One of the important cost drivers, alongside personnel costs in the fashion industry, is purchasing . So how much do the resources that end up in the end product cost and determine the end consumer price?
A fallacy cleared up: As a small mail order company with little market power, we are not connected to the resource market for new goods, such as cotton prices, etc. Seen in the shopping market in the narrow sense, we do not compete in the same market as the fast fashion industry, even if we also sell fashion as a result.
Our prices are tied to the vintage second-hand market with high quality . According to our definition, high quality means that we do not sell any products with obvious defects such as stains or holes (unless explicitly stated).
Our resource-saving products are therefore tied to a much smaller supply market than the new goods market. It is very difficult to sell a range of high-quality vintage clothing, and therefore we cannot keep up with a few euros in production costs when purchasing with little discount power. Therefore, the argument that high-quality and resource-saving vintage clothing is cheaper than new collections does not necessarily have any place on the vintage market. We don't see the history of a favorite piece as a flaw ; new things don't necessarily have to be more expensive!
Other factors that influence the pricing: The vintage fashion market is characterized by a great, high-quality selection of materials . There are very durable fabric materials in our virtual vintage universe, all of which are made by hand and then finally shine on your screen. Yes, that was us!
Our virtual wardrobe brings together special items of clothing that exude individuality and special design . This way you can find your own style.
Finally, we try to compensate for external factors that occur in the fashion market through resource-saving entrepreneurship and to return positive effects to the market.
Those were a few words of transparency . Transparency is good.
Your Jenny, your Chrissi
